During a tour with more downhill than uphill vertical meters, we’ll show you the most important tips for splitboard tours – a major topic in splitboarding.

Practice tour, e.g., Schafberg/Graustock or Wendenlücke.

Ascent: max. 300–500m, with significantly more downhill runs.

  • McGyver kit: What do I need to repair my splitboard/binding in an emergency?
  • Safety briefing: Avalanche situation check.
  • Short tour planning.
  • Splitboard setup: Efficient transitions for uphill. Telescopic poles? Attaching skins?
  • Ascent techniques: Basics for walking, kick turns, hard snow, and traverses.
  • Proper use of crampons.
  • Bootpacking: Tips & tricks.
  • Route choice & track setting.
  • Orientation in the terrain: Navigation.
  • Summit success and a joint-roll workshop in windy conditions.
  • Transitioning to descent without losing anything.

  • Riding techniques in steep terrain.

Requirements: Solid snowboarding skills for off-piste descents. Have you already done splitboard tours? We can also provide you with individual tips tailored to your experience.
